“I Can Do All Things through Christ that Strengthens Me” is the motto that Reverend Dr. Henry L. Brown, Jr. often uses as he strives to help win souls for the kingdom of God.
Dr. Henry L. Brown Jr. is a native of Sylvania, Georgia. He is the eldest son of ten (10) siblings, who were reared by the late Deacon Henry L. Brown, Sr. and Mother Agnes Brown. At a very early age, he received Christ and accepted his calling into the ministry in 1949. He told God that he would teach his word, and be faithful to his divine will and purpose.
In 1984, Dr. Brown successfully completed and received his degree from the Seminary External Education Division in Pastoral Ministries from the six (6) seminaries of the Southern Baptist Convention. In 1998, the late Bishop W.E. Fuller appointed him to the position of Elder for the State of Florida. In this position, he oversees all of the churches on the Florida District. He also received an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Fuller’s Normal and Industrial Institute in Greenville, South Carolina in 2000. Currently, he serves on the National Evangelist Board for the Fire Baptized Holiness Church of God of the Americas.
Dr. Brown has been the founder and pastor of Brown’s Temple F.B.H. Church in Pompano Beach, Florida for over forty-nine (49) years. He has been preaching and teaching the gospel for over sixty-three (63) years. Under his ministry he has built three (3) churches. His latest church was built and dedicated in 2010 by the Honorable Bishop Patrick L. Frazier, Jr. The church is involved in many ministries that are dedicated to helping the community and youth. Throughout his ministry, he has received many awards and recognition for his outstanding leadership locally. He is currently the President of Brown’s Developmental Inc., which is a non-profit organization that builds homes for low income families in economically disadvantage communities.
Dr. Brown is married to Mother Margaret Brown. They have been married for over fifty-eight (58) years, and they are the proud parents of five (5) adult children- Tricilla, Dennis, Sharon, Darlene, and Henry.
As one could see, Dr. Brown is a man of many talents. He is an awesome father, dynamic leader, a spirit filled preacher, and a gifted and anointed teacher.
